Orange and yellow alerts cover all other districts of the state, NDRF asked to stand by.
The Meteorological Centre of Hyderabad issued fresh rain alerts on Monday, 11 July, for several districts of Telangana.
Red alerts were issued for Nalgonda, Suryapet, Yadadri, Bhuvanagiri, Mahabubabad and Jangaon for Monday, and for Siddipet, Sangareddy and Medak on Tuesday, with the expectation of very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall.
Orange alerts, suggesting heavy to very heavy rainfall, were issued for 19 districts, and all other districts, including Hyderabad, have been put on a yellow alert (heavy rainfall) for the next five days.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said Hyderabad is expected to receive light to moderate rainfall on 11-12 July.
There could be thundershowers with intense spells of heavy rainfall, it said in a statement.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had held a high-level review meeting with officials, including Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, ministers, and MLAs on Sunday evening.
Earlier in the day, he ordered all educational institutions in the state shut for three days from 11 to 13 July.
The chief minister said that the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been put on alert. He also said that three helicopters are kept ready in case there arises a need for evacuation.
He added that the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) had been warned to inspect the disaster zones properly.

“District collectors have been asked to keep a track of old residences. Water restoration works have commenced in over seven Mandals,” KCR said.
Taking swift action, emergency call centres have been set up by the Secretariat, Panchayat Raj, Municipal administration, and the Roads and Buildings department for public assistance.
The control room at the Secretariat will be functioning 24×7, KCR informed the reporters.
The chief minister said that the bodies of two people from Srikakulam who died in the Nizamabad district have been sent to a hospital in Srikakulam.
The Telangana government has provided an ex gratia of ₹3 lakh, KCR added.
The CM also appealed to the people to exercise caution during this time and not step out of their houses until it’s an emergency.
