The case dates back to 10 April, 2015, when the victim registered a complaint at the Malkajgri Police Station accusing Prem Kumar of thrashing her.

The victim said that she loaned ₹15,000 in cash to him in March 2014, and that he promised to repay it by selling his house.

However, when she approached him and asked him to return the money, he instead became violent with her.

The victim said Prem Kumar dragged her onto the road and beat her with his legs and hands.
