8 killed, 7 injured after fire breaks out in e-bike showroom, spreads to hotel above

Eight including one woman were killed and seven others injured in a major fire accident in Secunderabad on Monday, 12 September.

According to the eyewitness, the fire broke out in an electric bike showroom and spread to a hotel above the showroom.

The injured were taken to Yashoda and Gandhi hospitals in Hyderabad and a case has been registered against the owners of the bike showroom.

Around 40 EV two-wheelers had been engulfed by the fire. Eyewitness accounts suggest that the fire began in the basement of the building.

The entire first floor of the building was gutted in the fire that spread after an explosion.
